William Darrell Young, 86, Columbia, KY native (1939-2025) William Darrell Young of Fort Lauderdale Florida, formerly of Columbia, passed away on November 26, 2025, in Hospice in Florida. He was 86 years old. At Darrell's request, there will be no public service or visitation. Burial will be private in Haven Hill Cemetery. He was born July 28, 1939, on Jamestown Hill in Columbia, and graduated from Adair County High School. He was the son of the late Clyde Young and Anna (Cole) Young. Darrell was preceded in death by his son Kevin Clyde Young. Survivors include his wife Frieda Young, Fort Lauderdale, FL, daughter Darilyn Hartenhoff (Kenneth) Brownsville Ky, two grandchildren Kaitlyn Hartenhoff, Brownsville KY, and Michael Hartenhoff, five great children Waylon Browning, Amia Kinser, Nolan Patton, Zayden Hartenhoff, and Mason Hartenhoff all from Brownsville Ky, Ex-Wife Barbara Finn, Arizona. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.grissommartin.com.
