CU Gospel Choir in Concert at Pleasant Union Baptist From Rev. Michael Caldwell Campbellsville University Gospel Choir and Dr. LaWanda Hazard, Director will be in Concert at a special Worship and Praise Service in Song starting at 3pmET on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 426 Fallen Timber Rd., Campbellsville, KY. Sunday's concert will be the Choir's first program outside of Campbellsville University Campus. Dinner will be served at 1:30pmET at the Church. Established in 2025, the Campbellsville University Gospel Choir is a passionate and gifted group of students dedicated to sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ through the powerful ministry of gospel music. This vibrant ensemble was formed with a vision to create a space where students could worship freely, grow spiritually, and use their musical talents to glorify God. Rooted in the rich heritage of gospel music, the Campbellsville University Gospel Choir blends traditional and contemporary styles to deliver soul-stirring performances that uplift, inspire, and encourage. Each member brings a unique voice and testimony, contributing to a collective sound that resonates with authenticity and spiritual depth. Whether singing in campus chapel services, local churches, or community events, the choir's mission remains the same: to proclaim the Gospel and foster an atmosphere of worship wherever they go. Beyond the music, the Gospel Choir is a ministry of fellowship, discipleship, and service. It provides students with opportunities to deepen their faith, build lasting relationships, and develop leadership skills that extend far beyond the campus. Through rehearsals, devotionals, and outreach, the choir cultivates a culture of excellence, humility, and purpose. As the choir continues to grow in number and impact, it remains committed to being a light in the world--using music as a tool to bring healing, hope, and the good news of salvation. The Campbellsville University Gospel Choir stands as a testament to the power of young people united in faith, lifting their voices to honor the One who gave them their song.
