Football: Indians travel to Murray for finals matchup By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Indians football team is back in action this Friday. They travel to face the Murray Tigers (10-0) in the opening round of the 2025 Class 3A UK HeathCare Sports Medicine State Football Finals. This game marks the third straight playoff appearance for the Indians, tied for the longest streak of playoff appearances since 2016. Kickoff is set for 7pmCT at Ty Holland Stadium, 801 Main St., Murray, KY. Tickets are $9.40 through gofan.co. The Tigers will be a very tough opponent for the Indians, especially on the road, but they will need to play as a unit and limit mistakes. The winner of the battle between Murray and Adair County will go on to face the winner of Hart County (8-2) and Hopkins County Central (2-7) next week. Coming off of the high that was the past two seasons, it was likely going to be a down season for the Tribe this year, but their ability to notch wins down the stretch and still make the playoffs is highly admirable and should make us all feel good about next season and beyond! A win at Murray would be a massive upset, likely the largest upset that would happen in all of the 2025 KHSAA football playoffs, but one can say with some certainly that across all six classes there will be at least one major upset, so why not us? If you can, make the long trip to western Kentucky, but if not make sure to catch this one on a broadcast of some kind. This story was posted on 2025-11-07 10:04:14
