Student seeks memories of the Coe Ridge Colony

Emma Vonder Haar is currently a student at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Emma is from Louisville, but her family is from Barren County, and for Emma's senior thesis, she is researching memories of the Coe Ridge Colony in Cumberland County.

Emma says, "I am looking to conduct oral histories (interviews) with anyone who is a descendent of a family who lived in the Coe Ridge Colony or a Coe themselves, remembers Coe Ridge before its closure in 1958, or wants to share how its memory exists (even if it doesn't!) in Cumberland County today. I am not looking for experts -- just people willing to share! My research project has been cleared by the Institutional Review Board (ethics committee) and I am happy to send my questions ahead of time."

If you or someone you know is interested in sharing, Emma asks that you send her an email at esv14@georgetown.edu. (She can also be reached via Facebook and LinkedIn, if that's easier).
