ACSO: Driver airlifted after rollover accident From Sheriff Gary Roy Adair County Sheriff's Office On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at approximately 3:34pmCT, the Adair County Sheriff's Office and emergency responders were dispatched to the 3000 block of Liberty Road, to a single-vehicle injury accident with entrapment. Upon a preliminary investigation, the operator of the vehicle, 78 year old Roger Holmes of Columbia was traveling Eastbound in a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. His vehicle left the shoulder of the roadway, crossed the ditch and struck two vehicles owned by Larry's Auto Mart. Holmes' vehicle rolled and came to rest on its side. Roger was transported to T.J. Health Columbia before being transported by Air Evac to University of Kentucky Hospital. The Adair County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Adair County EMS and the Columbia-Adair County Fire Department. Deputy Derek Padgett investigated the collision and was assisted on scene by Deputy Hunter Tweedy and Deputy Nick Barber. This story was posted on 2025-10-27 14:44:23
