Adair receives fourth place at KMEA Finals By Amber Hobaugh The Adair County High School Marching Band traveled to Bowling Green this weekend to compete in the KMEA semi-finals and finals competitions. The Adair County High School Marching Band season comes to a close this Monday night as the community is invited to a FREE performance at Parnell Family Stadium, 928 Russell Rd, Columbia, KY. The public is invited to attend to see the students final show run and meet the students who play each instrument. First up, the group took on 11 other bands from the East and West regionals in Class AAA at Warren East High School. The top six bands from this event advanced to the finals competition later that evening at L.T Houchens Stadium at Western Kentucky University. Class AAA Semifinal scores:
Throughout the day, the crowd at L.T Houchens Stadium were treated to seeing the best bands from across the Bluegrass battle it out for their place in K.M.E.A history. Adair County took the field Saturday evening at 7:30pmCT to an electrified crowd and an outstanding number of supporters in the stands. Finals awards were presented at 11:30pmCT.
