Don Frankin Ford opens in new building

In business news this week, the Don Franklin Ford dealership which has been in development over many months, has opened its huge new location on the Veteran's Memorial Bypass in Columbia.

The family business won the award as Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce 2022 Business of the year. The Franklin family business has grown to over 900 employees in more than 24 locations across Kentucky since it was started in Columbia in 1968 as Don's Auto Sales.

In other big news from the family this week, Eddie Franklin wrote, with his wife Alanna, "Happy 2nd Birthday to our Evan! He's our wild child.

The boy with an attitude. Who told us yesterday he was turning 5 instead of 2. Who adores his big brothers. He's also the sweetest child when he wants to be. He's the boy who will steal his brother's Starburst when they're not looking and laugh hysterically as he's running away. He loves all things helicopters, airplanes, and cars just like his big bros. He keeps us laughing with his mischievous ways. He loves to say "my turn" whenever he wants to play with a toy, and will say it 2 seconds after sharing with his brothers. You also have the sweetest smile and you're so kind to little Ella! We love you so much Evan Brooks!!!!!"
