ACSO: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Adair Co. Sheriff's Deputy Josh Durbin initiated a traffic stop on a 1994 Chevrolet pickup at the intersection of Knifley Road and Elkhorn Road at 1:52amCT on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

The stop resulted in the arrest of a Knifley man on charges that included possession of methamphetamine and numerous traffic violations.


Eulas R. Watson, age 63 of Knifley, was charged with the following:
  • No registration plates
  • No registration receipt
  • Failure to maintain insurance
  • Rear license plate not illuminated
  • Driving on a DUI suspended license
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense methamphetamine
Watson was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
