E-SCRAP collection event underway Adair County is hosting a month-long E-SCRAP collection event during October. You can safely recycle old electronics from October 1 through October 31, 2025, at the Adair County Recycling Building, 82 Service Rd., Columbia, KY. The following items will be accepted: computers and monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, cameras, camcorders, televisions and speakers, telephones and speakers, video game equipment, tv cable boxes and equipment, routers, hubs, modems, power supplies, servers and circuit boards, media tapes, disks, hard drives, and shredders. Adair County Solid Waste Coordinator Bridget Compton says, "In previous years, this event lasted just one week -- but thanks to grant funding from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management, residents now have the entire month of October to safely dispose of unwanted electronic waste."
