Anna Lois Huckaby,89, Russell County, KY

Anna Lois Huckaby, of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was 89 years, 7 months, and 25 days of age.

Ann was born on January 30, 1936, in Adair County, a child of the late Jesse Benton Huff and Dona Kate Grider Huff. After graduating from high school, Ann married Willard C. Huckaby, and they made their home in Russell Springs. While living there, Ann worked as a supervisor at Russell Sportswear. Ann loved having company and staying busy trying to keep up with family activities. She was an avid UK and R.C. Lakers fan, attending games frequently. Ann was a member of Royville Friendship Church.


Ann leaves behind her sons, Terry Huckaby (and Julie), Scott (and Kim) Huckaby, Lance (and Crystal) Huckaby; her daughter, Kim (and Ron) McBeath; as well as twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, with one on-the-way; two great-great-grandchildren, all of Russell Springs.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Willard C. Huckaby; her brother, Chuck Huff; and two sisters, Reba Herriford and Joyce Weir.

Funeral services are 2pmCT on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Greg Herriford and Brother Carter Stewart officiating. Special music will be provided by Dean and Sheila McKinley accompanied by Robin Riddle. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 - 2 on Sunday.

Pallbearers are Joe Huckaby, Nick Huckaby, Talan Huckaby, and Aidan Huckaby, Bryson McFall, and Andrew Shanks. With honorary pallbearers being her granddaughters.
