Junior Gosser, 59, Russell County, KY

Roger Garfield Gosser Jr., of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at his home. He was 59 years of age.

Jr. was born on December 23, 1965, in Somerset, a child of Marilyn Coffey Goen and the late Roger Garfield Gosser Sr. After graduating from high school, Jr. joined the US Army as a reservist; he went on to work at Superior Battery as well as other jobs in manufacturing and construction work. Jr. enjoyed spending time with his daughter Skyler and fishing at every opportunity.


Jr. leaves behind his daughters, Skyler Gosser and Jessica McBeath, both of Russell Springs; his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Randy Goen, of Jamestown; his brother, Timothy Wayne Gosser of Jamestown; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as his wife of 37 years, Lisa Gosser of Russell Springs.

Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Roger Garfield Gosser Sr.

Funeral services are 6:00 P.M. on Saturday September 27, 2025, at Bernard Ridge Church of God, with Brother Eric Richardson officiating and providing special music, Kerri Barnes.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Saturday September 27, 2025, at Bernard Ridge Church of God.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to offset costs of funeral services. Donations can be made at the funeral home or mailed to PO Box 308, Russell Springs, Ky 42642.
