Travel: A Texas-sized class reunion

The Arnold family left Fairplay to travel to Austin, Texas, in September for Veronica Arnold's 20-year reunion for the Westwood High School Class of 2005.

Veronica says, "goodness its been that long! Took them to see a Texas high school football homecoming game, of course. (I am sporting a Day&Day Feed t-shirt) The giant stadium and the jumbotron... football is serious down there!"

The next day, the Arnold family was were given a tour of the high school Veronica attended. There were over 600 students who walked the stage to graduate with the Class of 2005. Veronica says, "The school is all updated and fancy compared to what I remember in the late 90s and early 2000s. A school administrator gave us the tour and took a quick group shot of those of us who came to show our families around the school."

While they were in Austin, the Arnolds also visited some of Veronic's favorite places growing up in Austin, which you can read about here: Travel: Sharing memories in Austin, TX.

Veronica says, "After all that and crazy travel, getting home in Kentucky, I am so thankful to live here. Yes, I went to school in that big city and its even bigger now. As an adult, I choose to live in Kentucky on a farm with way less noise and people. Adair is beautiful and the people are too! Had several offer to stand in and cover the farm as we got delayed in travels. This is the country I love, with green grass, blue skies (or rainy ones today!) and people who will show up when you're in a jam. Not because we are related or they have to, but because they want to."
