Busy week at Wolf Creek Hatchery

Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery has had a busy week, starting with the Catch a Smile Senior Fishing Derby on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. On Wednesday and Thursday, September 24 and 25, 2025, the hatchery has been hosting special needs students from surrounding county schools for the Reaching for a Rainbow Special Needs Fishing Derby.

Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery will be hosting the Cumberland River Rendezvous from 10amCT to 6pmCT on Saturday, September 27, 2025, presented by Bluegrass Trout Unlimited. This event will feature professional fly-fishing guides, fly-tying and casting demonstrations, seminars, down-home music, and free food. This event is for all ages.

Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is located at 50 Kendall Rd, Jamestown, KY.

Good turnout for Senior Fishing Derby

The 16th Annual Catch A Smile Senior Fishing Derby was held at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The free event for anglers 62 and older featured lunch and door prizes.

Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery have been very busy helping with special events this season. Volunteers help in every way they can so the Hatchery can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. In this picture from earlier this month, the Wounded Warrior project was well attended by many veterans. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is located at 50 Kendall Rd, Jamestown, KY and volunteers are always welcome.
