Football: Indians host Scotties on Friday By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Indians football team will be back in action on Friday, September 19, 2025, as they host the Glasgow Scotties (4-0). Tickets are $8, and can be purchased online at hometownticketing.com. Homecoming festivities are planned for 5:30pmCT. See all the candidates at this link: ACHS Football Homecoming Candidates. Adair County Athletics is debuting their brand new field in this game, so show up and cheer on your Indians while you admire the renovations. The Tribe comes off a 23-20 overtime loss on the road last week to the McCreary Central Radiers. The Scotties, on the other hand, come off a 41-6 routing of Allen County-Scottsville on the road. In that game, Glasgow as a team had 186 passings yards. A majority came from senior quarterback Hudson Gumm, who went 7 for 8 for 179 yards and a touchdown. The Scotties also had a good night on the ground, rushing for 135 yards. They were led in that category by junior Jaylen Bradley, who had seven carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns. The Indians will need to keep a special eye on Glasgow's leading receiver, Jerrick Martin, who had three receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown last week. In addition to their powerful offense, Glasgow has a stout defense. They have only given up 150 yards of total offense to one team this year, and even in that game--against Monroe County--they only surrendered 3 points. Adair County will have to be their absolute best to compete with a very solid Glasgow team on Friday night, but the Indians will be looking to repeat their win over Scotties 21-14 last year, the program's first win over Glasgow since at least 1998.
