Food management tips from Emily Cross

Emily Cross is sharing her methods for healthy food management. Keeping your fridge and pantry stocked with healthy options is absolutely KEY to success, she advises. Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Here are a couple of her top tips for a successful week:

#1 mind your macros: Having a knowledge of how many grams of protein, carbs, and fat you need each day is the foundation. Eating "healthy" won't always cut it. You need a plan to stick to each day and you'll need that in the back of your mind as you plan your meals.

#2 Look ahead - Take 10 minutes to look at your calendar for the week. Which nights will you be at the ballpark? Which night were you planning on meeting friends for dinner? Do you have any meetings or obligations for work any of those evenings? Figure out which nights you'll be able to be home and maybe cook something and which you'll need a crockpot meal or leftovers.
