Brenda Kaye Richards, 78, Casey County, KY Brenda Kaye Richards, 78, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 in the loving arms of her family. Born on December 27, 1946, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Helen B. Price Richards. Brenda was a Casey County High School and Spencerian College graduate. She retired from the Casey County Bank after forty-seven years of dedicated service as a bank teller. She told many stories of her banking days and how she loved everyone she encountered. She was a proud member of Green River Valley Separate Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, canning, taking pictures, talking, and spending time with her friends. Beyond that, Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her entire world and she dedicated her life to wholeheartedly loving them. She is survived by one son, Byron (Lisa) Humphrey of Liberty; a granddaughter, Hannah (Bradley) Sherrell of Liberty; a grandson, Kyle (Chelsea Carman) Humphrey of Liberty; two great-grandchildren, Hadley Paige Sherrell and Haydon Scott Sherrell; a brother, Ricky Richards of Liberty; and a sister, Betty Jane Richards of Liberty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randy Richards; and a sister-in-law, Dana Richards. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Casey Davis and Bro. Jamie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Green River Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Byron Humphrey, Hannah Sherrell, Kyle Humphrey, Bradley Sherrell, Ricky Richards, and Bro. Casey Davis.
