Phillip Garmon, 86, Cumberland County, KY

Phillip Garmon, age 86 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Cumberland County Hospital. Phillip was born on April 01, 1939 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Herbert and Mamie Norris Garmon.

He was a longtime Carnation Milk Company driver and was a dairy farmer for over 50 years. He was a member of Bakerton Community Church.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Garmon, one granddaughter Amanda Garmon, two brothers Nelton Garmon and his wife Evalee and Harold Garmon and his wife Wilma Jean and one sister Loretta Huckleby and her husband Ewing and brother-in-law Mitchell Hare.

Survivors include:

Two sons - Stevie Garmon (Lisa) and Sammy Garmon both of Burkesville

One Brother- Rondal Garmon(Carolyn) of Burkesville, KY

Three Sisters- Covella Hare of Glasgow, KY, Louise Gibson(Gene) and Linda Traylor(David) all of Edmonton, KY

Seven grandchildren - Tina Watson, Jeremy Garmon (Nataleigh), Cody Garmon (Jessica), Travis Garmon (Susie), Zachary Garmon, Kaylea Hosier (Carson) and Jada Garmon

Ten Great-grandchildren - Kaleb Watson, Kaden Watson, Hadley Garmon, Heath Garmon, Nora Gulley, Tucker Garmon, Lane Garmon, Luke Garmon, Mia Hosier and Ellerie Hosier

Funeral Service will be Monday, June 9, 2025 at 12noonCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.
