Dorothy Isabel Noe Scott, Green County, KY

Dorothy Isabel Noe Scott of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Curits Noe and Ellen Poynter Noe, was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1943 in Greensburg and departed this life on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at her home. She was 81 years, 6 months, and 27 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Brush Creek Baptist Church. She worked on the farm for many years with her husband, was a homemaker, and worked at Union Underwear.


She was united in marriage to David Wayne Scott in February 1963, who preceded her in death on November 27, 2024.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Susie Scott Mitchell and Phillip of Summersville; a son: Jerry DeWayne Scott of Summersville; a brother: Charles Noe of Summersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister: Pauline Noe Osborne.

The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Dannie Nelson, Bro. Finis Berry, Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating.

Visitation is requested after 10amCT Monday until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund or Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
