Garden Tour 2025: Farm to Table Living at Home From Sheila Willis "Farm to table" is the perfect way to describe the primary gardens at our home. While fruits and vegetables receive the most attention, our love for planting and managing crops has expanded into additional spaces filled with a wide variety of plants. Gardening has always been a part of our lives. We pick our produce fresh and either enjoy it right away or preserve it through canning and freezing. Over the past five years, we've added a strawberry patch, raspberry bushes, a blueberry patch, an asparagus bed, and several Concord grape vines. We also created a dedicated pollinator garden to support our beehives. Behind our home, a raised bed garden blooms with fresh-cut flowers and includes a cozy seating area around a fire pit. To escape the summer heat while tending the gardens, we relax in our shaded outdoor space just off the back of the house, which offers both comfort and respite. Tending the gardens requires effort, but what we gain--from nourishing food to the simple joy of being surrounded by natural beauty--makes every bit of the work worthwhile. The 2025 Garden Tour also features: Outdoor Entertaining at the home of Craig and Stacey Bishop, 186 Briggs Lane, Columbia, KY Alley Cat Garden - A Jane Austen-Inspired Haven in downtown Columbia, The Julia Miller Horton Memorial Rose Garden, 201 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY The Adair County High School FFA Greenhouse Tickets are $10 for the full tour, purchase at the door of any location.
