Please help prevent child abuse in Kentucky From Tim Lawson Child abuse will occur this month and, sadly, in every month to come. Out of every thousand children, seven experience abuse or neglect. There are many amazing organizations fighting on the front lines to put preventative measures and education in place. However, where does a child who has experienced abuse and needs assistance with medical and emotional care turn? Where do parents go to navigate the confusing and oftentimes exhausting legal process? In the past, these needs were often and unfortunately lost, and children were left with lifelong wounds with offenders free to live in society and oftentimes offend again. The Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky has been bridging the gap from hope to healing for children who are abuse victims for 25 years. Children who come to one of the 15 centers throughout the state can receive comprehensive medical, mental and emotional care - all under one roof. A team of skilled personnel handles the legal aspects of their case - seeking justice and a swift end to offenders repeating commit crimes against children. The Children's Advocacy Center of Kentucky longs for a world where child abuse is nonexistent, however they are there to face the hard truth and hold the hands of our children who need it the most. This amazing organization serves Kentucky's families and children in their darkest hours. This story was posted on 2025-05-10 21:46:47
