Jack Glenn, 69, Russell County, KY Jack Glenn, 69, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center, with his devoted wife, Vickie, by his side. Born on November 12, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jack was a 1976 graduate of Fairfield High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 to 1979, continuing in the Reserves until 1982. During his service as a Combat Engineer, he earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge, reflecting his dedication and honorable character. On November 12, 1982, Jack married the love of his life, Vickie Lockaby Glenn. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, laughter, and unwavering love for their family. In 1994, they moved to Russell Springs, Kentucky, where they continued to raise their family and build lasting friendships. Jack later retired from Branscum Construction Company. A man of quiet strength and deep faith, Jack was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Community Church and actively involved in Celebrate Recovery. His strength, kindness, and quiet wisdom were rooted deeply in his relationship with God. He was a loving husband, proud father, and deeply cherished papa. Jack's grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to be their biggest fan--cheering them on in both life and sports. He found joy in the simple things: time on the lake with loved ones, the sound of laughter around him, and the satisfaction of a good day's work. Jack also had a deep love for building and woodworking. You could always find him out in his shop, working on something--often a project for someone he loved. Whether fixing, building, or just tinkering, you never quite knew what he would be up to. His creations were more than just projects - they were expressions of love. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Glenn; his daughter, Tiffany (Chad) Whitis of Nancy, KY; and his treasured grandchildren, Carson Slusser, Kade Slusser, and Ansley Whitis. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary (Helena) Glenn of Crestview, FL, and John (Cindy) Glenn of Hamilton, OH; brother-in-law Rodney (Sue) Lockaby of Ross, OH; and sister-in-law Deena (Lisa) Lockaby of Foristell, MO. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, E.J. Glenn; his parents, Zona and Earl Glenn; and sisters, Donna Vogt and Kelly Glenn. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, beginning at 3:00 PM Central Time at Coffey's Chapel Community Church in Eli, Kentucky. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow at 5:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Dennis Price. All are invited to stay afterward to enjoy food and fellowship, and to share memories of Jack. Jack's legacy endures in the hearts of those he loved, the things he built, and the many lives he touched. This story was posted on 2025-05-06 23:00:09
