David C. King, Jr., 12, Adair Co., KY (2012-2025)

David C. King, Jr., of Adair County died on April 30, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington from injuries received in an automobile accident that occurred on April 20, 2025 in Russell County. He was 12 years old.

David was a Sixth Grader at Adair County Middle School where he was in Beginning Band. He will always be known as a "Super Hero" as he was an organ donor.

The funeral service will be held at 3pmCT on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Troy Long officiating.

Visitation will be after 10amCT on Friday.

Everyone in attendance is requested to wear red to honor David's favorite color.


Survivors include:
  • His mother and step-father - Melissa and Austin Morey of Adair County
  • Two brothers - Ayden King and Daxton King both of Adair County
  • Three sisters - Nova Morey, Tempurance Morey, Octavia Morey all of Adair County
  • Two step-sisters - Addison King and Ariel King both of Adair County
  • His maternal grandmother - Ethel Bybee of Columbia
  • His paternal grandfather - David King of Indiana
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray Bennett
