CPD: Arrest in attempted vehicle theft From Kila Kean, Secretary Columbia Police Department On Sunday, April 27, 2025 the Columbia Police Department responded to an attempted vehicle theft on North Highway 55. The male suspect was located approximately six miles south of Columbia on Highway 61 and taken into custody. Johnathan Gaskins, 31, of Columbia was arrested and charged with TBUT or DISP AUTO $1000<$10,000 and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree (Class D Felonies). Lieutenant Justin Cross was the arresting officer. Lieutenant Cross was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff's Office. This story was posted on 2025-04-29 08:08:39
