Softball: Adair County Lady Indians update

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

The Adair County Lady Indians softball team currently sits at 4-5 on the season, after an 0-8 loss to Hart County on Friday, April 18, 2025. Since our last update on the team, they have defeated Campbellsville 5-1 on the road, fell to Marion County 0-10 in 5 innings, and lost a close one to Green County 10-11 in 9 innings.

In the Campbellsville game, the Indians' pitching was impressive. Freshman Keylin Bergin pitched all 7 innings, throwing 84 pitches while only giving up 5 hits and one run. She also struck out two batters. Bergin and fellow freshman Allee Campbell led the way hitting for the Lady Indians, both having two hits on four at bats. Campbell posted a team high 3 RBIs. The team totaled 9 hits in the game with Callee White, Jade Waggener, Gracie Gist, Millie Brown, and Shelby Riley all contributing.

The team is on the road to face the Taylor County Cardinals at 5pmCT on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and then gets a rematch with Campbellsville on Wednesday at home, and Monroe County on Thursday also at home. The team will finish out the week with a roadtrip to face the Lady Panthers of Cumberland County on Friday, April 25, 2025.
