Virginia Riley, Cumberland County, KY

Virginia (Lewis) Riley of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Vanderbilt Tullahoma - Harton Hospital in Coffee County Tennessee, having attained the age of 84 years, 8 month & 9 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Thursday, August 1, 1940 the daughter of Clyde & Evelyn (Radford) Lewis.

She was of the Christian faith and worked as a Security Officer for the State of Kentucky Court System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Mitchell Anderson, Todd Anderson, sisters, Colene Riddle, Elizabeth Utz, brothers, Bill Lewis, Waymon Lewis, and Robert Kale Lewis.


She is survived by her children, Tammy (& Teddy) Martin of Byrdstown Tennessee, Casey (& Ann) Anderson of Decherd Tennessee, sister, Diane (& Stacy) Norris of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Tavia Dowdy (& Peyton), Brooklyn Elmore (& Graham), James Amos Martin (& Caroline), Gracie (& Hunter) Ramsey, Morgan (& Jared) Shelton, Zachary Anderson, Thomas Anderson, great grandchildren, Quinton Shockley, Raina Shockley, Tavilynn Dowdy, Marlee Wren, Tanner Rector, Beckett Ramsey, and Quincie Wren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Marty Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 13, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
