CPD: Sex Offender Arrest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department The Columbia Police Department made an arrest this afternoon, Saturday, April 12, 2025, after ending an investigation which began on April 8. Investigation began when Officers encountered a male individual when dispatched to a potential altercation within the city limits. Subject's current residence came into question as investigation continued, and it was later found male party was residing at an address he had not reported to his probation officer as a registered sex offender. On April 12, The Columbia Police Department along with The Adair Sheriff's Office, located and placed subject into custody from an address located on Breeding Loop. Richard Oldham Jr, 44, of Columbia has been charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration; a class D felony. Officer Travis Bell is the investigating Officer.
