J. V. Selby, 89, Russell County, KY J. V. Selby, age 89, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, April 01 2025. He was born on Sunday, March 01 1936, in Jamestown, Ky. He was the son of Lillie Pearl Grider Selby and Vernon Selby, who preceded him in death Survivors include: Wife - Mollie Lawless Selby of Russell Springs, KY 2 Daughters: Gloria Selby, and Shena Selby, both of Russell Springs KY He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Valeria, Bobby and Billy Selby, his siblings, Egbert Selby, Beatrice Selby, Eugene Selby, Carol Selby, Margie (James) Blankenship, Syliva May, and Phyllis (Jimmy) Firquin He was a retired iron and construction worker and of the Methodist Church and a Mason. Funeral services will be 1pmCT Friday, April 04 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 11am Friday.
