By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

The Adair County Indians Baseyball team currently sits at 4-2, having won their last three straight and four of the last five games.

Recent action for the team has been a 12-8 win over the Barren County Troajns (5-5) at home on this past Saturday, March 29, 2025, and a 9-5 win over the Taylor County Cardinals (7-3) at home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

In their win over Barren County, the Indians were spurred on by great hitting, shelling the Trojans to the tune of five home runs and 12 hits leading to 12 runs. The deep shots were by Brayton Coomer, who had two, along with Bryce Russell, Issac Rodgers, and Alex Martin, who each had one.

Coomer also led the team in runs batted in, with 2. As far as pitching goes for the Indians against Barren County, starter Issac Rodgers went a team long 4 innings, surrendering 7 hits for 3 runs but striking out a team-high 5 batters and posting an era of 5.25 on 75 pitches. Brayton Coomer, Jasper Kemp, and Bryce Russell also pitched for the Indians against the Trojans.

To finish out the week, Adair County will rematch district opponent Taylor County on the road at 5pmCT on Thursday April 3, 2025, and then host Green County (3-4) at 5pmCT on Friday, April 4, 2025.
