Golf: LWC Women finish first at Patriot Invitational London, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team posted a first-place finish at the Patriot Invitational on Tuesday at Crooked Creek Golf Course. The Blue Raiders carded a 53-over par 929 (304-310-315) over the three rounds on the par-73 5,974 yard course. Hosts Cumberlands (KY) finished second with a 961 while William Penn came in third with a 988. Lindsey Wilson carded a tournament-high 22 birdies and had the second-most pars with 149. Lindsey Wilson held the top three spots on the individual leaderboard. Butpaporn Sukterm earned medalist honors with a 6-over par 225 (77-73-75). Sukterm's 73 in the second round was the lowest-round of the tournament. She led the field in birdies with seven and was tied for the most pars with 36. Tara Laverty finished runner-up with a 231 (74-76-81) and was tied for the second-most birdies with five. Laverty was just one of two golfers to shoot under-par on par 5s. Papatsara Niamrungrueang posted a 234 (75-81-78) to finish tied for third. Niamrungrueang tied with Sukterm for the most pars with 36. Pitchayapa Pungpho finished eighth with a 239 (78-80-81), Paige Gray posted a 23rd-place finish, while Kendall Hacker - competing as an individual - finished 33rd.
