Mitch" Adams, 76, Casey County, KY

Robert Dean "Mitch" Adams, of Liberty, passed away March 10, 2025, at his home. He was 76.

He was born March 5, 1949 to the late Vernon Roy and Gladys Clarkson Adams. Mitch was a painter. He painted many homes in Liberty and all the surrounding areas, in the last 40 years. He was a beloved preacher and evangelist. Mitch loved music, singing and playing the guitar. He loved good food and enjoyed a good, home cooked meal. But most of all, Mitch loved his Lord, his wife and his family.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Vernon Adams, W.C. Adams, Carlton Sam Adams, Shirley Baugh, Debbie Cooper, Martha Curtsinger and Wanda Gail Adams; and two great-grandchildren, Lincoln Mitchell Spalding and Arlis David Carmicle.

Mitch is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Naomi "Poppy" Propes Adams, whom he wed on October 18, 1971; his sons, Mitchel Adams (and Cyndi) and Robbie C. Adams (and Amy), both of Liberty; his daughters, Crystal Pendleton (and Phillip) and Angela "Sissy" Carmicle (and David), both of Liberty; his sister, Cathy Wilson of Danville; his grandchildren, Jonathan Adams (and Hannah), Ashley "Rudy" Spalding (and Patrick), Kristie Pendleton, Jeffery Pendleton, Jeremy Pendleton (and Emily), Eston Raney (and Brandon), Robert Adams, Tyler Carmicle (and Kerrigan), Devan Carmicle and Leslie Conlin (and Joey); and his great-grandchildren, Caroline, Chloe "Fred", Millie, Kyra,

Uriah, Silas, Asher, Charolette, Braylynn, Camden, Ella and Aiden.

Funeral services will be 11amET Friday, March 14, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Darin Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Adams, Robert Adams, Jeffery Pendleton, Jeremy Pendleton, Devan Carmicle, Tyler Carmicle and Joey Conlin.

The family will receive visitors from 6-9 Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
