Chad Wheet new Director of Adair County Ambulance Service By Cathy Hoots Abell Reprinted with permission from the Adair Progress Chad Wheet was recently selected as Director of the Adair County Ambulance Service. He assumes the role on March 2, 2025. He has a wealth of emergency response experience. Mr. Wheet began working at the ambulance service in 2007 and since 2020 has held the position as Assistant Director. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter and seven years of experience with Air Evac. Mr. Wheet said he recognizes he has "big shoes to fill, following some of the people who held this position before him, such as Daryl Flatt, Tony Bragg, and Terry Akin". He said the ambulance service has a good group of employees that he would "put up with the best in the state". Mr. Wheet also praised the Board of Directors saying they are supportive and stive to help obtain needed resources. Mr. Wheet said he wants the Adair County Ambulance Service to continue providing excellent care to the members of the community. This story was posted on 2025-02-18 23:06:46
