Drowning Saturday in Caney Fork, Russell County First responders were called out very early Saturday morning on a report that a boat with two men in it had capsized in the Caney Fork area. Armando Penaloza was pronounced deceased at Russell County Hospital . One of the two was brought out of the water alert and conscious. The second man, Penaloza, was found unconscious. Rescue crews administered CPR. Both were taken to the hospital. The coroner’s office later pronounced Penaloza deceased. The investigation is ongoing by the Russell County Coroner’s Office with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. This story was posted on 2025-02-03 09:20:27
