Basketball: Indians defeat Tigers 63-51

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Adair County Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated the Bardstown Tigers 63-51 in the H&W Dukes Sport Showcase hosted at Marion County High School.

This victory marks 9 straight wins for the Indians, and improves them to 17-4 on the season. This was a nice win for Adair County over a Bardstown team that is arguably the top 5th Region contender out of the 19th District. The Indians were able to pick up the 12 point win by shooting 52% from the floor and 37% from three point range. Senior Connor Loy took over the game, leading the Indians in scoring with 26, followed by fellow Senior Isaiah Cochran with 12. Cochran and Brayton Coomer led the team in rebounds, with 6 each.

The Indians will seek to keep their winning streak alive as they host Evangel Christian (5-14) at home on Monday, February, 3, 2025, set for tip at 7pmCT in the Lindsey Wilson Shootout.
