By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

On Friday, January, 31, 2025, the Adair County Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated the Campbellsville Eagles 90-52 at home in in John Burr Memorial Gymnasium.

The game was dominated by Adair County through and through, with the Indians jumping out to a 20 point lead in the first quarter before reaching the 35 point running-clock margin in the third quarter. The leading scorers for the team were Connor Loy with 26, followed by Isaiah Cochran with 16. Cochran notched a double-double, adding 11 rebounds to lead the team, followed by Brayton Coomer with 7. The team shot 64% from the floor and 59% from three point range. This game marks 20 straight home wins for Adair County, with 8 straight wins this season.

The Indians return to the court at 4:30pmCT/5:30pmET on Saturday, February 1, 2025, when they take on the Bardstown Tigers (11-6) in the H&W Dukes Sports Showcase at Marion County High School, 735 E Main St, Lebanon, KY. Tickets are $12, and are available online at eventlink.com.

The Tigers come off a 59-51 loss on the road against an Elizabethtown team that the Indians bested in their season opener. (Both teams have defeated their other mutual opponent, the Taylor County Cardinals).

Limiting the Tigers on offense will be key for the Indians on Saturday, as Bardstown is undefeated when scoring more than 60 points in a game.
