Weltha Virginia King, 93, Cumberland County, KY Weltha Virginia (Williams) King, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, having attained the age of 93 years, 7 months and 18 days. She was born on Sunday, June 7, 1931, in the Williams Creek Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky, the daughter of Stanley Eugene and Bessie Eunice (Flowers) Williams. She was a Christian Lady and a member of the Burkesville Church of Christ. Graduated from Cumberland County High School, Attended Lindsey Wilson College and received her Masters degree in Education from Western Kentucky University. She was a retired school teacher having taught for over 27 years in the Cumberland County School System, worked at Bob Evans before her teaching career. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James "Jess" King, brothers, Eugene Williams, James Williams, sisters, Marie Scott, Bonnie Daniels, Bobby Bainbridge & Brenda Wray, infant son, and great grandson, Logan Tyler King. She is survived by her children, Sherry Deloris (& Steve) Radford, David Nelson (& Kathy) King, both of Burkesville, Kentucky, sisters, Jennab Fletcher & Brookie Stalcup both of Burkesville, Kentucky, brother-in-law, Vernard Wray of Bowling Green, Kentucky, sister-in-law, Jean William of Greenville, Indiana, grandchildren, Melanie (& Doug) Willis, Meredith (& Jon) Myatt, Tiffany (& Troy) Huddleston, Travis Radford (& Kayte Watson), Luke (& Sarah) King, Chelsea (& Adam) Huber, great-grandchildren, Lanie Vincent, Hallie Willis, Miley Kate Willis, Gracie Myatt, Rylee Myatt, Henry Huddleston, Jude Huddleston, Clara Sutton Huddleston, Eleanor Jane Huddleston, William David King, Stetson Lane Huber, and one on the way, Ella Mattison Huber, great-great-grandchildren, Lylah Pearl Vincent, and one on the way, Graham Ledger Wyatt Vincent. Caregiver & special friend, Judy Wise of Burkesville. The Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with burial in the Burkesville, Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31 after 5 until the funeral hour on Saturday.
