New officers for 2025-26 are Steven Breeding, President; Deanna Grider, Vice President; and Brandon Minton, Secretary. An award of appreciation was given to Mark Dykes who was unable to attend. A full house attended, as usual, with the association in Adair County having over 300 members and many corporate sponsors. Nick Roy presented a new beef-up-the-pantry program. The overview: Adair County Cattle producers have the opportunity to donate beef animals for slaughter that will be donated to identified families or distributed via the Adair County Food Pantry. Hometown Butcher has agreed to provide processing at their cost. The Adair County Food Pantry will accept financial donations from any donors to assist in paying for processing fees of beef they distribute.
