Linda Louise Kessler VanArsdale, 83, Green County, KY

Linda Louise Kessler VanArsdale of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Amos Kessler and Margarite Lile Kessler, was born on Wednesday, July 16, 1941 in Greensburg and departed this life on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Baptist East - Louisville. She was 83 years, 5 months, and 19 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and was in the YACS women's group. She worked as a case worker for the social security office and was also the proud Co-Owner of Central Furniture Company. Linda was a former Jaycee and served on the Junior Miss Board for many years.


Survivors include her husband of 63 years: Ray Thomas "Tommy" VanArsdale of Greensburg having united in marriage on June 16, 1961.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Laura Crickett and Mel Smith of Greensburg, two grandchildren: Paul Thomas and Audrie Smith of Richmond, Sydney Smith of Greensburg; one great-grandchild: Xavier Logan Smith of Richmond; a brother-in-law: Robert VanArsdale of Greensburg; a sister-in-law: Rhonda Wright of Greensburg; special friends: Nikki Curry, Connie Huston, Sue Palmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister: Becky Bell; sisters-in-law: Joann VanArsdale, Era VanArsdale; and a brother-in-law: Wayne Wright.

The funeral services for Linda Louise Kessler VanArsdale will be conducted at 11amCT Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Rev. Brenson Bishop officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 to 8 Wednesday and after 7 Thursday at the church until time of the service. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greasy Creek Cemetery which can be made at the funeral home.
