Storm expected to start at 3amCT Sunday morning Hazardous driving conditions are possible beginning in the early morning hours Sunday, January 5, 2025. Temperatures are expected to drop just below freezing and icing is a possibility. Crews will deploy to treat the roads as needed. The winter weather system is expected to change over to rain by Sunday afternoon. However, overnight Sunday into Monday rain, ice and snow are expected to create hazardous driving conditions. The Monday morning commute could be treacherous. Sunday through Friday. A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected Sunday morning. This will transition to rain for Sunday afternoon and night, then possibly change to light snow as the precipitation tapers off Monday morning. Very cold air will sweep in Monday night and persist at least into Friday. Lows each night will be in the teens, with morning wind chills possibly near zero.
