Genealogical Society to meet Jan 6

The next regular meeting of the Adair County Genealogical Society will be held at 5pmCT on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. The subject will be Sons of the American Revolution [SAR] and the beginning effort to create a chapter in Adair County.

Any descendant of an individual who was a soldier/sailor or who provided patriotic service to the cause for independence during the Revolution is eligible for membership in SAR and DAR. [Sons in SAR and Daughters in DAR]. Lineage must be documented and that is what is meeting helps to address.

Come be part of this historic move toward a local SAR chapter.
