The Adair County Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team will return to the court to face the Russell County Lakers in the semifinals of the 2A Sectional at 6:30pmET/7:30pmET tonight, Thursday, January 2, 2025.

The game will be played in the LaRue County High School Gym, 925 S. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, KY. Tickets are available at gofan.co.

The first round games of the 2A doubled as regular season games. The Indians first round victory was their December 6 win over Taylor County. (ACHS sports update Indians vs Cardinals).

Russell County defeated Casey County 83-38 in their 2A play-in game. The Lakers are at 7-5 coming in to Thursday's game, after a 74-32 win over Berea in the Smokey Mountain Christmas Classic on December 28, 2024.

The other semifinal, which will precede the Adair-Russell game, will be the host LaRue County Hawks (9-4) against Lincoln County (7-3), set to tip off at 5pmCT/6pmET. The winners of the two semifinal games will face each other in the sectional final on Saturday, January 4, 2025, and the winner of that game will go on to the 2A State Tournament in Owensboro later this month.
