Isie Adams, 89, Russell County, KY (1935-2024) Mae Isolene "Isie" Adams, of Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was 89 years of age. Born November 21, 1935, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Rosie Ridner Dunham. Mae was no stranger to hard work. From working with her beloved husband Jack, on their dairy farm, to working at Russell Sportswear, and over 20 years at Fruit of the Loom, she did what was needed to raise her children. Even after leaving the sewing factory, she was a familiar face behind the counter at Adam's Bait and Tackle. Mae was a faithful member of French Valley Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. Survivors include four sons, Mike (and Peggy) Adams, Jeff (and Tonya) Adams, Tim (and Luanne) Adams, all of Jamestown, and Chris (and Tracy) Adams, of Russell Springs; seven grandchildren, Josh (and Tosha) Adams, Matthew (and Rachel) Adams, Emily (and A.J.) Cook, Ashley (and Cody) Coffey, Abigail (and Jason) Eads), Joey (and Holly) Adams, and John (and Melissa) Adams; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and all nine of her siblings. Funeral services are 1pmCT Friday, November 29, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. David Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, in Casey County. Visitation will be from 10 Friday, until time of services. Pallbearers will be Josh Adams, Matthew Adams, Joey Adams, John Adams, A. J. Cook, Cody Coffey, and Jason Eads. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mae's memory to French Valley Church. These can be left at the funeral home. This story was posted on 2024-11-28 00:08:11
