Jackie Chadwell, 85, Windsor, KY (1938-2024) Marlet Jackson "Jackie" Chadwell, of Windsor, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Casey County Hospital. He was 85. Born on November 25, 1938, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Cleo and Polly Chadwell. Jackie was formerly a logger for Tarter Industries. He enjoyed doing lawn mower repairs. He loved to help others and was proud of being saved in December 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (and Jerry) Byrd; a son, Marlet Chadwell; stepchildren, Brenda (and Ricky) Salyers and Bobbie Joe Salyers; grandchildren, Magan Sullivan, Kayla Marple, Brandon Chadwell, and Kody Chadwell; and great-grandchildren, Kayln Fair, Aly Fair, Tuff Marple, Maddux Chadwell, Braiden Chadwell, and Kendall Chadwell. Other survivors include a brother, Bill (and Sue) Chadwell; sisters, Doris Chadwell, Sue Hensley, and June (Andy) Forbes; and special friends, Marietta Pettit, Sandra Byrd, and Renee Corn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Fayrene Chadwell; stepdaughter, Glenna Lane; granddaughter, Madison Ameling; great-granddaughter, Madison Rose Chadwell; brothers, Garfield Chadwell and Charles Chadwell; and sisters, Mary Ballard and Dolly Black. The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting funeral expenses.
