OCC 2024: 2,719 shoebox gifts so far

After a steady flow of OCC shoebox gifts were received Monday and Tuesday making a total of 366 shoebox gifts, things picked up considerably at the Wheet Fellowship Hall on Wednesday.

Among those dropping off shoebox gifts on Wednesday included Cane Valley Baptist Church , LWC, Columbia Baptist Church, ACMS BETA, Sparksville Nazarene Church, Knifley Christian, Breath of Grace Church, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Creekbend Community Church, Milltown Church, Shirley Jones and My Father's House.

2,353 boxes were collected on Wednesday making the total going into Thursday 2,719 boxes collected in Adair County.

Collection continues through Monday, November 25, 2024, and OCC shoebox donations will be accepted on the following schedule:
  • Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 9amCT to 11amCT
  • Friday, November 22, 2024, from 9amCT to 11amCT
  • Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9amCT to 11amCT
  • Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1pmCT to 3pmCT
  • Monday, November 25, 2024, from 8amCT to 10amCT
Boxes can be dropped off at The First Church of the Nazarene/Wheet Fellowship Hall located at 1200 Jamestown Street Columbia, KY.

OCC 2024: LWC Baseball

Three month old Grady Glass is perhaps the youngest person to make a drop off at the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene Wheet Fellowship Hall. His parents are Michael Glass and Nealia Glass. They helped drop off boxes packed by the Milltown Church.

OCC 2024: Lindsey Wilson Baseball

Members of the LWC Baseball Team in action, loading cartons of shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Lindsey Wilson athletics gathered 438 shoeboxes comprised of toys, school supplies, clothing articles, and personal hygiene items for children in developing countries during the Christmas season. In addition, the LWC Baseball team helped load and unload over 200 cartons, making up nearly 3,500 shoebox gifts.
