Shout Out to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild

Kim Harwood, Executive Director
Edmonton Metcalfe Chamber of Commerce

Shout Out to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Chris Lagermann for making the Quilts for Heros Presentation on Veteran's Day so special.

It was six years ago when Becky London spearheaded the Quilts for Heroes project and six quilts were presented to local veterans.

This year twenty three quilts were presented. There is a lot of sewing, time, and love going in to these gifts.

To the Piecemakers for making the beautiful quilts and to Chris for sharing the history of the quilt. It is nice to see who was given a quilt, who nominated that person, who pieced and quilted, down to who presented the quilt to its new owner.

The presentation of the quilts to our local heroes is one of my favorite events, looking forward to Quilts for Heroes in 2025!
