Roxie Dial Skaggs, 70, Green County, KY (1954-2024) Roxie Dial Skaggs of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Luther Dial and Ruby Nell Compton Dial, was born on Saturday, November 13, 1954 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, November 15, 2024 at her home. She was 70 years and two days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. She was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 24 years and worked at Fruit of the Loom, Inc. for 26 years. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Willie Everett "Bimbo" Skaggs, having united in marriage on August 11, 1972. Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Connie and Mike Walker of Green County; a son: Tony Skaggs of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Josh Skaggs, Lauren Skaggs both of Campbellsville, Paige Edmonds of Marion County, Saige Riggs, Cole Edmonds both of Green County; three great-grandchildren: Skyler Skaggs of Campbellsville, Parker Riggs, Kolbi Edmonds both of Green County; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Randall and Karen Dial, David Russell and Carol Dial all of Green County, Roy Davis and Pat Dial of Barren County; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Judy and Randall J. Creason, Bonnie and Ricky Russell all of Green County, Brenda and Ron Babcock of Warren County; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The funeral services for Roxie Dial Skaggs will be conducted at 3pmCT Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Dannie Nelson and Bro. Dennis Penick officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date at the Green County Memory Gardens. Visitation is requested after 10 Sunday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River which can be made at the funeral home.
