ACHS Indians win over McCreary Central 41-24 By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer Friday night the Adair County High School Indians defeated the Raiders of McCreary Central 41-24. This was an impressive outing for the Indians as they held the Raiders tough rushing attack in check enough, for the Indians offense to push through and get the win. The Indians rushed for a season low 64 yards but passed for a season high 370 yards in what was one of the best offensive outings of the whole season. Embedded in that 370 passing yards was Easton Jessie, who went 16/24 for 300 yards, with 3 touchdowns and an interception, along with Aiden Smith who went 1/1 for 70 yards and a touchdown. Solomon Stonebraker led the team in receiving with 8 receptions for 218 yards and 2 touchdowns, followed by Kaden Wasson who had 2 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. Blane Bardin also had a good night going 5 for 5 on extra point attempts. This was an impressive outing for Adair County as this McCreary team was, as I noted in my last article, much better than their record showed. The Indians will look to stay hot this upcoming Friday night as they are back on the road in their regular season finale taking on Metcalfe County. This story was posted on 2024-10-29 12:36:07
