One of the Chambers overall goals is promote business and community growth and development by sponsoring economic programs which are designed to strengthen and expand the income potential of all businesses within the city of Columbia and Adair County.

Thanks McCammish Manufacturing

A special thanks to Doug McCammish and McCammish Manufacturing for hostingBusiness After Hours. It was indeed a most successful event. Chamber members gained much knowledge about the business. The door prize provided by McCammish was a beautiful 3-drawer bedside cabinet in light oak. We appreciate McCammish Manufacturing for being a part of our community.

Appreciation is also expressed to McCammish for providing the door prize at the FebruaryMonthly meeting of the Chamber. It was a small end table, Versailles Anigre in color ...a lightcolor with a very interesting grain.

Trooper Dwaine Barnett guest speaker at Chamber of Commerce meeting

2006-02-22 - Columbia - Photo Linda Waggener. TROOPER DWAINE BARNETT, Public Affairs Officer at the Columbia Kentucky State Police Post 15, was the guest speaker at the February Chamber of Commerce meeting. He gave the group a lot to think about on the issue of wearing seat belts. He says that there's usually someone in every group with a story about why not to wear a seat belt. However, he said that overwhelming statistics demonstrate that wearing seat belts does keep many more people alive who could not have lived through vehicle accidents otherwise. The Chamber audience of approximately fifty law-abiding folks offered no resistance. Trooper Barnett speaks to organizations and schools throughout the KSP Post 15 service area.
