KSP hiring Facilities Security Officers From Sherry Bray Frankfort, KY - On October 22, 2024, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that the Kentucky State Police (KSP) is looking to hire facilities security officers, with a starting salary of $42,860. Interested applicants can apply for this position until December 30, 2024. Individuals hired as facilities security officers will complete 80 hours of paid training to begin in May 2025. The Kentucky State Police Security Branch protects state office buildings in Frankfort, ensuring that state employees and visitors have a safe and secure place to work and visit. "Thousands of employees and visitors enter state buildings each day, and their safety is something we take seriously," said Gov. Beshear. "Thanks to the dedicated effort of facilities security officers, the important work needed to keep the commonwealth operating is never hindered."
