Kentucky Color: Welcome Mat

By Billy Joe Fudge

After two successful hip replacements and a lot of down time, I was able to get back in the woods this week. Praise the Lord for the bounty of art provided to us by nature. The layered nuance of color, shape and arrangement manifests itself into a much appreciated 'welcome mat'.

To me:
  • Art is created not manufactured,
  • Art is consumed not rubbed on,
  • Art is what you like not what you've learned,
  • Art is discovered not contrived,
  • Art is revealed not devised,
  • Art is the act of moving the treasure of heart and mind into the heart and mind of another, and
  • Art is found where you find it.
Nothing was moved, manipulated or maneuvered in the accompanying photo.
