Winners at Pumpkin Festival announced 2024 4-H Costume Contest winners in the Pumpkin Festival: Scariest - 4-7 Year old - Mason Clemmons; Scariest - 8 & Up - Evan Farley; Best Character - 0-3 year old - Melody Bertram; Best Character - 4-7 year old - Charlotte Lopez; Best Character - 8 & up - Klaus Trimm; Best Animal - 0-3 year old - Andi Jean Morrison; Cutest, Prettiest - 0-3 year old - Levi Wright; Cutest, Prettiest - 4-7 year old - Katherine Jones; Best Costume - 4-7 year old - Saylor Wright. Idol winners The 2024 Idol winners from Summerfest on the Square each performed a 30-minute concert at the Pumpkin Festival last Saturday. Joy Graham, winner of the youth division, performed like a pro and invited her younger sister, Stella Graham, to join her on stage. Haley Kelsay adult division winner invited her talented daughter, Caycee Harris to the stage to sing with her. These ladies did a phenomenal job, we encorage them to continue sharing their gift of music with others. Pet Costume Contest winners announced The Metcalfe County Animal Shelter hosted its first annual Pet Costume Contest for dogs only this year at the Pumpkin Festivsl with a good turnout. All the contestants were on their best behavior and enjoyed the attention. Superintendent Josh Hurt served as Master of Ceremony for the Pet Costume Contest. The winners were: 1st Place - Melissa Farley & Scotter; 2nd Place 1- Blue & Deja Blue; 2nd Place 2 - Peggy Riddle & Scrappy; 3rd Place- Alex Boswell & Charlie.
